Welcome to Kerrs Creek Wind Farm

A new wind farm project in Australia

Project Location

The project site is located approximately 21 km north of Orange between the communities of Kerrs Creek and Euchareena in the Dubbo Local Government Area and the Federal Electorate of Calare.

The site sits across approximately 9,500 hectares of farm land, used predominately for cattle and sheep grazing. The project will be able to effectively co-exist with the existing agricultural use of the land and will occupy less than 2% of the total land area.

This site has been selected as it is ideal for a renewable energy development for the following reasons:

  • Excellent exposure to New South Wales wind resource;
  • Excellent access to the transmission network;
  • Excellent complementary use of land with farming;
  • Very low environmental impacts;
  • Ideal terrain and soil types to facilitate the construction of wind farm.
